Children of Bejai Ward Enjoy Children's Day Celebration

The members of Bejai Ward celebrated Children's Day on 14th November, 2023 at the residence of Mrs.Thelma Pinto. The programme began at 5PM. Children were welcomed with juice and sandwiches. Games were conducted for children of all age groups.

A formal stage programme was conducted at 7pm in the presence of Mrs. Sheela D'Souza, Vice President PPC; Mrs.Veena Pinto, the Gurkar of Bejai Ward and Mrs Anita Noronha and Mr.Claudy Pais, the Ward Representatives as the dignitaries.

The programme began with a prayer dance. The Gurkar welcomed the gathering. Seven children from the ward were felicitated for their achievements.  This was followed by prize distribution. Mrs.Sheela D'Souza addressed the gathering and appreciated the ward for its unity and for the programme that they had staged.

Rev.Fr.Kevin D'Souza, Assistant Parish priest joined the celebration later. He graciously prayed over the ward members.

The children of the ward displayed their talents through their dance. 

Fr. Kevin recited the grace before meals.

Games were conducted by Mrs.Nisha Noronha. Mrs.Geetha Nazareth compeered. Mrs.Felcy Crasta led the evening prayer. Mrs. Lydia Correa introduced the children who were felicitated during the programme. Mr.Claudy Pais took charge of the dinner arrangements. Mrs. Anita Noronha was in charge of the gifts and prizes.

In total 70 members inclusive of 26 children were present for the programme.
