As we begin and end our day with prayer, it is also right that we begin and end the year with prayer, specifically with the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. We thank the Blessed Trinity for all the blessings bestowed on us in the previous year and we entrust to the Blessed Trinity the year that is to come.

The evening liturgy at Most Holy Redeemer Church started with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 7.00 to 7.45 pm led by Fr. Gracian followed by Eucharistic ceremony at 8.00 pm on 31st December.

Rev. Fr Valerian Fernandes, the editor of Raknno Konkani weekly concelebrated the Solemnity Eucharistic celebration along with Rev.Fr Walter Pinto, Rev. Fr Gratian Alvares and Rev. Fr Austin Peres. In his homily he spoke of how Mary the Mother of God is a model for her devotees. She is the mediator between God and us. We learn Gospel values in the School of Mary.

The Banquet Hall was inaugurated and the generous donors were honoured, prizes were distributed for the best star and crib.

At the end of the mass the parish priest Fr Austin Peres thanked all those who rendered their service towards the success of the grand celebration. He conveyed wishes to one and all on the occasion of New year 2019.
