Unveiling of Logo: YSD steps into its Decennial Year Back

Yuva Spandan Derebail (YSD), a premier youth association affiliated to Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Diocese of Mangalore stepped into its decennial year with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement with the unveiling of its new logo. The decennial logo was released on Sunday, 4th of October, 2020 during the 7 AM mass at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail. 

Fr. Gerald Francis Pinto, Resident Priest celebrated the mass. Fr. Austin Peter Peres, the Parish Priest and Director of YSD – ICYM, Fr. Gerald Francis Pinto, Animators Mrs. Lizzie Fernandes and Mr. Jeethan Castelino along with the office bearers, President Mr. Prajwal R Sequeira and the members of the Parish Pastoral Council Mrs. Sheela Dsouza – Vice President of PPC and Mr. Gaulbert Pais – Secretary of PPC were present for the ceremony. Ms. Ivy Melisha D’Souza, former President of YSD gave an insight into the message behind the new logo.
The Animators along with the parish priest and parish council assembled all parts of the logo one by one making it into one whole, thus unveiling the logo.  A great deal of thought and work went behind creating the new logo. The credit for designing and planning the unveiling of the beautiful logo goes to YSD PRO Ashish Carvalho and Sheldon Alvares (former Regional Representative of ICYM Mangalore Diocese). The members of YSD helped in bringing to fruition this conception of the logo. All YSD members along with other parishioners gathered as one family for the mass and the unveiling of the new logo. This marked an excellent start for Yuva Spandan Derebail decennial year.
