Children of Bejai Ward Rejoice at the Children's Day Celebration

On the occasion of Children's Day, the members of Bejai Ward along with their Gurkar Mrs. Veena Pinto organized a small celebration at the residence of Mr. Raymond Lobo on 14th November , 2021. The programme began at 5PM with a short  prayer service led by Mrs. Felcy Crasta. The parish priest, Rev.Fr.Austin Peter Peres graced the occasion and gave his blessings. 

The prayer service was followed by a series of fun-filled games for children below the age of fifteen. Mrs. Geetha Nazareth conducted the games in which about 20 children participated with great enthusiasm. 

After the games, the ward members celebrated the birthday of Mrs. Philomena D'Silva. Cake and juice was then distributed.  This was followed by the prize distribution. The Gurkar of the ward, Mrs.Veena Pinto expressed her gratitude to all by rendering the Vote of Thanks.

The members of the ward then, joined together for a fellowship meal. Despite the rain, about 55 ward members participated in the programme, making the programme a grand success. 

To add to the celebration, the ward members relished the Candy-stick that was distributed post dinner. 

The programme ended with some fun dance by children who were , later, rewarded with prizes for the same.
