Way of the Cross: Recollection of Christ's Passion on Good Friday
Good Friday commemorates crucifixion and death of Jesus, urging Christians to reflect on his sacrifice. Many churches observe Stations of the Cross, meditating on events leading to Jesus' death.
The parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church gathered at 8 AM for a prayer service and Way of the Cross.
The Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Joseph Martis led the prayer service. The 4 Psalms sung spiritually by the parish priest along with the parishoners represented how we can spiritually stay closer to Jesus.
The choir sang the hymns with their melodious voice.
The Way of the Cross was conducted in the Holy Family School grounds.
The Statues of Mother Mary and Jesus were carried through all 14 stations by the Women and youth representatives. The way of the Cross represented the sufferings and sacrifice of Jesus and also represents the sufferings and sins of humans.
The way of cross ended with a concluding prayer conducted by Fr. Kevin D'Souza .
The parishioners gathered and spent sometime in front of the blessed Altar. This added devotion to the day of penance and fasting.
