Refreshing Day of Togetherness: Catechism Teachers, Altar Servers and Members of Legion of Mary Go on a Memorable Picnic

A memorable picnic was organized for the Catechism Teachers, Altar Servers, and members of the Legion of Mary of Derebail parish on Wednesday 22nd October 2025. A total of 75 participants joyfully joined the trip.

The group set out at 8:00 a.m. under the guidance of the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis and Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris. The destination was the beautiful Uva Meridian Water Park, Kundapur, a perfect spot for relaxation and fellowship.

The day was filled with fun, laughter, and moments of togetherness. Everyone enjoyed the various water rides and games, sharing meals and joyful conversations that strengthened the bond of the parish community.

After a day full of excitement and refreshment, the group returned safely to the parish by 7:00 p.m., carrying with them beautiful memories of unity and joy.

The picnic truly served its purpose — to bring everyone closer in friendship and faith while expressing gratitude to God for His blessings and protection throughout the day.
