Celebration of St. Ann's Feast at Most Holy Redeemer Church

On the joyous occasion of the Feast of St. Ann on 26 July 2026, the parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail, together with the students, staff, Lay Associates of St Ann's (LASA) and the Sisters of St Ann's Convent, participated in the Holy Eucharistic Celebration at 9:00 a.m.The celebration was even more special as it coincided with a Sunday, with the church filled to capacity, creating an atmosphere of joy and devotion.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Maxim, Professor at St Joseph's Seminary, who, in his homily, reflected on the importance of discerning and choosing good over evil in our daily lives.

The entire liturgy was led by the students, staff and Sisters of St. Ann's Convent. The Children's Choir further enriched the Eucharistic celebration.

At the conclusion of the Mass, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the Sisters of St. Ann's. He invited them to come forward, and the entire parish warmly acknowledged their dedicated service with a resounding round of applause. 

The Superior Sr Celine D'cunha along with the  Headmistress of St Ann's English Medium School Sr Maria Aranha, Sr Sunitha Menezes and Sr Shwetha D'Souza warmly acknowledged the wishes of the parishioners. Their service in the church and in the community was duly acknowledged by the parishioners with their applause. 

Sr Celine D'cunha, Superior, then addressed the gathering and expressed her words of gratitude towards all those who had joined hands with them to make this celebration a memorable one.

The celebration concluded with refreshments served to all the faithful, fostering a spirit of fellowship and gratitude.
