Anti-Drug Awareness Gathering Back

Anti-Drug Awareness Gathering

The month long Anti-drug Awareness Campaign reached its zenith at Derebail Church on Saturday 30th September with a public gathering organized by the Parish Community. At 6.00 in the evening, the parishioners stood in line in front of the Church along the foot path holding slogans against drugs and its nefarious effects on the society and family. The commuters slowed down their vehicles and watched the movement with a sense of appreciation and gratefulness. Nearly five hundred people participated in the event. Derebail parish has taken active and vigorous participation in the anti-drug awareness programme launched by the Diocese of Mangalore organizing various awareness competitions, such as skits, reels, selfies, captions and such other. Children, youth and adults have actively participated in all the activities with zest and zeal. Our efforts will continue to make our society drug free. Thanks to all the animators and participants.
