19th Annual Day of Catholic Sabha, Derebail 

The 19th Annual Day of Catholic Sabha, Derebail Unit was celebrated on 26th January 2019 with a thanksgiving Mass at 5.00 PM. The members gathered for a cultural programme after the Mass. The Formal programme began with a hymn of the Holy Spirit.

Parish Priest; Fr. Austin Peres, Residential Priest; Fr. Gratian Alvares, Central Committee President of Catholic Sabha; Mr. Rolphy D'Costa, Ex- President; Mr. Anil Lobo, Varado President; Mr. Victor Correa, Ex-President Mr. Denis D'Souza were the guests of honour. Guests were accompanied by the Vice President; Mr. Edward Coelho and Mrs. Lizzie Fernandes of the Parish council. Mr. Anil Patrao; Varado Secretary, Mr. Andrew D'Souza; Unit secretary and the President Mr. Robert D'silva escorted the dignitaries to the dias. The President welcomed the gathering. The Annual Report was presented by the Secretary.

Mr. Charles John Concessao's selfless service and Mr. Robert D'silva for being posted as the Assistant General Manager of Syndicate Bank were felicitated during the course of the Programme.

The guests delivered message on the occasion, by praising the members for not only providing selfless service at Varado level but at the Diocese level too which has made a mark. They encouraged the members to continue the same spirit and enthusiasm to work for the betterment of the society in coming days.

The Cultural programme was followed after the Formal Programme, lead by Mrs. Pramila Furtado. Housie Housie and variety of games were conducted for children and adults. Mrs. Dora Dcunha compered the Programme. Vote of thanks was delivered by the Treasurer, Mrs. Wilma Montheiro which marked the end of the event.
